How To Apply A Small Sticker

Step 1

Clean the area thoroughly with rubbing alcohol, methylated spirits or soap and water. Do not use Windex or similar products because it will leave a residue behind that will prevent the sticker from adhering well.

Step 2

Use some pieces of masking tape to hold the sticker in the correct position making sure it is straight.

Step 3

Carefully tear the masking tape (to leave half on the substrate and half on the sticker so you can realign the decal), peel back the white paper backing and fold the paper back on itself.

Step 4

Slowly lower the sticker onto the surface and rub it in place firmly with a squeegee or credit card. Continue to remove paper backing and applying decal.

Step 5

Remove masking tape tabs. Clean off fingerprints.
Finished!

Notes

Use a pin to poke any air bubbles in the centre of the bubble and push the air out through th hole.

You can use soapy water (500mL water to three drops dishwashing liquid) to apply the sticker if you wish. This method makes it easy to position and not make bubbles but does need time to dry.

Stickers are not made to be applied directly to brick, concrete or other porous substrates. If that is where the sign is needed we recommend you purchase one on a panel.
